But thankfully, many department stores and online retailers tend to have sales a little bit more often. And as a bonus, these department stores and online retailers frequently offer other ways to save money…sometimes lots of money!
Saint Laurent is one the brands that infrequently has sales. The brand used to have bi-annual sales a few years ago; however, this is now a thing of the past.
But not to worry, fellow shopaholics. We know you want to save money – so do we! Shopping at any of the listed retailers will help you to buy a YSL bag on sale, or will at least help you to receive some type of discount.

So, just where are the 7 best places to buy YSL bags on sale (or discounted)?
1. Nordstrom
If you live in the US, you can take advantage of Nordstrom’s website. Nordstrom sells YSL bags on their website, which means you can shop from the comfort of your own home. More importantly, this means that you can shop for any on-sale YSL bags as soon as the sale starts. Unfortunately, Canadians cannot shop for YSL bags on the Canadian version of the website.
How do you get a YSL bag on sale or for a discount at Nordstrom? One great way to buy a bag is during one of Nordstrom’s many sales. There are several sales per year: Half Yearly Spring Sale (usually around May/June), Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday Sale, After Christmas Winter Sale (typically starts December 26th), Memorial Day Sale, Labor Day Sale, and the infamous Anniversary Sale (usually around July/August).
These sales are open to the general public. But if you want to get in before anyone else, you’ll want to join Nordstrom’s benefit program: The Nordy Club. Being in the Nordy Club not only grants you early access to sales, but it also provides you with points; and once you earn a certain number of points, you can turn those points into money, which can be used during checkout.
2. Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks is another US retailer that sells YSL bags online. If you subscribe to their email list, you will receive 10% off of your first order! Concerning sales, Saks typically puts on a Designer sale, in which top luxury brands can be purchased for a large discount.
In addition to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day sales, Saks has a Friends and Family sale that is offered several times throughout the year.
The biggest and best sale of the year, however, is the Saks Fifth Avenue Final Sale event, which usually takes place early into the new year. During this sale, you may find up to 75% off of luxury items.
Like Nordstrom, if you join Saks’ loyalty program, SaksFirst, you can earn points that you can turn into gift cards(6)!
3. Neiman Marcus
Joining Nordstrom and Saks, Neiman Marcus is another US department store that can help with buying a YSL bag on sale or for a discount. And, just like the other US stores that we mentioned, you’ll want to watch out for sales that Neiman Marcus might hold throughout the year, including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day, Friends and Family (usually 2 times per year in May and September), New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Bank Holidays. As a bonus, you’ll earn 15% off of your first order when you sign up for their emails.
Neiman Marcus also has a loyalty program, which is called InCircle; and once again, you can earn points that can be turned into gift cards.
4. Flannels
Moving onto the UK, Flannels is a luxury retailer that we consider to be one of the best places to buy on-sale or discounted YSL bags.
Although their online selection is limited (and make sure you search for Saint Laurent), you may be able to score a YSL bag on sale in the store.
More than that, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled on their online outlet store, where they offer designer brands at (more) affordable prices.
Although Flannels does have a loyalty program, it is, unfortunately, invite-only.
5. Bicester Village Outlet (UK)

This is truly every shopper’s dream: An outlet store!
You won’t be able to shop these deals online, but making an in-person shopping trip will be worthwhile. By shopping at Bicester Village, you will be able to buy a YSL bag that is between £300-£500 cheaper than the retail price! Those are deals you don’t want to miss!
6. Rue La La
Shopping at this online retailer will have you singing ‘oh, la, la’!
Although you have to register for a free profile, having another account is worth it. Rue La La is an online luxury store that offers up to 70% off designer brands, including YSL. They also have daily flash sales that could help you purchase a YSL bag for a pretty good discount.
7. Harrods
One of the best places to buy a YSL bag on sale is Harrods. If you live outside of the UK (i.e., overseas), then you’ll want to take advantage of Harrod’s online shopping.

Instead, we find it’s best to visit any of the 7 places that we mentioned above – that’s where you will have the most luck buying a YSL bag on sale or for a discount.
In addition to some of the stores that we mentioned (e.g., Flannels, Nordstrom, and Rue La La), Selfridges is another great UK retailer that puts YSL bags on sale, or offers you a chance to buy one with a discount.
Where to Buy YSL Bags on Sale
Sadly, Saint Laurent is no longer holding their bi-annual sales on their website. However, this doesn’t mean that you cannot find YSL bags on sale. The 7 stores that we discussed above are some of the best places to find savings or discounts on YSL bags (e.g., Flannels, Nordstrom). Another great option to find sales on YSL bags is to shop at outlet stores, such as Bicester Village.
YSL Sale US
In the US, you’ll want to take advantage of all of the sales held by department stores and online retailers.
One of our favourite sales of the year occurs courtesy of Nordstrom. Their annual Anniversary Sale is a great place to look for a YSL bag at a fraction of its regular price. The sale for 2023 is likely going to be in July, so get ready!
You should also check out Rue La La, given that they offer up to 70% off on top luxury brands, such as YSL. Further, there are daily curated sales, including those for fashion and luxury.
YSL Sale UK
If you’re a UK shopper – or happen to be visiting – then you’ll want to shop at Selfridges, Flannels, and Browns Fashion.
In addition to Flannels (discussed above), Selfridges and Browns are two other UK luxury retailers that may help you with buying a Saint Laurent bag for a discount.
Browns offers online shopping and international shipping – and as a bonus, the VAT is already included at checkout.
Because Browns is sold in Euros, the exchange rate with other currencies – in addition to the VAT already being included in the price – means you can save a few hundred dollars when ordering a YSL bag from Browns.
Browns does not have a loyalty program; but, if you are an influencer, then you can join their affiliate program.
Selfridges is another store that can help you buy a YSL bag for a discounted price. Selfridges offers online shopping and international shipping. In the US, there is a Saint Laurent outlet store in Woodbury, New York. Located in Central Valley, New York, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is truly a luxury lover’s dream (we know this because we’ve been there).
If you live in Canada – more specifically, Toronto or the surrounding area – you can find a Saint Laurent outlet store at Toronto Premium Outlets(22).
Although you cannot shop online at any of these outlet stores, you can shop at The Outnet. The Outnet – which is a part of the YOOX Net-A-Porter Group – is an online luxury outlet where you can find designer pieces up to 70% off! So, you don’t have to feel bad if you can’t make it to the actual outlet store – you can shop from home!
YSL Bags second-hand
In addition to buying bags on sale or with discount codes, another good way to score some savings is through the preloved market.
If you’re open to buying a YSL bag second-hand, then you can peruse Farfetch’s website, where they have a section dedicated to pre-owned YSL bags(24).
