Magic Eraser to Clean Louis Vuitton Vachetta Leather

Vachetta leather is untreated leather and used most commonly on Louis Vuitton designer handbags. Over time, vachetta leather will absorb oils and dirt causing the leather to naturally patina (go a honey colour), and slowly this will darken to near black as the bag becomes even older. If you’re looking to resort a vintage or heavily used Louis Vuitton bag, you can use a magic eraser to help remove dirt from vachetta leather.

*PLEASE NOTE* we strongly advise this is only used on very bad cases of darkening, nearly black. Use the eraser on a small part of the leather to ensure you’re happy with the results. Use it very lightly and quickly. Magic Erasers do dry leather out and are harsh on leather, they should only be lightly used to remove surface dirt to lighten the vachetta leather. TOP TIP – Always condition the leather of your bag BEFORE using a magic eraser, this will help to stop the leather from drying out and cracking.
